The mobile app can connect calendars made available by your phone’s calendar system, including iCloud and Outlook when those accounts sync to that system. You choose which calendars Stylwear can use. An account visible only inside a separate calendar app may not appear.
01→
Open calendar settings
Go to Me → Settings → Daily outfit & reminders and find the calendar controls.
02→
Allow access and select
Enable calendar recommendations, grant the requested calendar permission and choose the calendars you want.
03→
Connect selected calendars
Complete the connection and check the sync status. Use Sync now if you need an immediate refresh.
Good to know
Missing iCloud or Outlook? Enable its calendar sync in your phone’s account/calendar settings, then reopen Stylwear and choose calendars again. Calendar connection requires mobile.
Selected phone calendars sync when you open or return to the mobile app. At midnight in your account’s timezone, background processing uses the already-synced plans to prepare recommendation parameters for the coming day. Midnight processing does not read your phone’s calendar.
01→
Choose relevant calendars
Connect only the calendars whose plans should inform your outfits.
02→
Open after plans change
Open or return to Stylwear so your latest events can sync. Sync now offers a manual refresh.
03→
Let midnight prepare context
The server processes the saved plans at local midnight. Review the resulting occasion before dressing.
Good to know
Example: open Stylwear after adding tomorrow’s office meeting. That synced meeting can inform the midnight preparation. A meeting added while the app stays closed will wait for the next sync.
With calendar recommendations enabled, selected event titles and times can be used to infer outfit context. Event descriptions, guests and meeting links are excluded from this sync. Calendar inference can be inaccurate; you can choose the occasion yourself or disconnect and remove the synced data.
01→
Choose a limited selection
Select only calendars appropriate for outfit planning.
02→
Review inferred context
Check the occasion and adjust it yourself if an event title was misunderstood.
03→
Disconnect when you want
Return to the calendar controls and use the disconnect/remove-data action to stop the connection.
Good to know
Removing calendar access in your phone settings stops future reads. Use Stylwear’s disconnect action as well when you want its synced calendar data removed.
Weather and temperature context use your saved city. Moving between neighbourhoods or small areas within the same recognised city should not ask you to update it. A detected change to a different city can prompt an update. City-level weather is an approximation of conditions around you.
01→
Choose city-based context
Enable location recommendations in Daily outfit & reminders, or set the location manually in your outfit context.
02→
Move within your city
Continue using the saved city when you travel between its neighbourhoods.
03→
Review a city change
When the recognised city changes, review the location update and the new weather context.
Good to know
City recognition depends on the available location data. If it is wrong near a boundary, choose the correct city manually. Use Forget my saved location to clear the stored location.
Set your daily outfit reminder and reminder time in Me → Settings → Daily outfit & reminders. Notifications also depend on your app settings, account timezone and phone permissions. Calendar context informs suggestions; it does not create an alert for every calendar event.
01→
Enable your reminder
Turn on the daily outfit reminder and choose a time that suits your routine.
02→
Check notification permission
Allow Stylwear notifications in your phone settings and review the app’s notification preferences.
03→
Check your timezone
Confirm your profile timezone, especially after travelling. Product-update alerts have a separate preference.
Check your connection, permissions, selected calendars, saved city and reminder settings. Calendar changes need an app-open sync, and weather depends on data availability. Notifications may be delayed or suppressed by device settings even when a reminder is enabled.
01→
Refresh the inputs
Open Stylwear with internet access and use Sync now in calendar settings. Reconnect if the app reports a connection problem.
02→
Check phone permissions
Review calendar access, location access if used, and notifications. Check Focus, Do Not Disturb and battery restrictions.
03→
Verify reminder settings
Check the reminder time and account timezone. If available, use Send Test Notification; a queued test does not prove device delivery.
Good to know
Switching reminders off stops those alerts. It does not by itself switch off calendar preparation or daily recommendations; manage those settings separately.
